The Best Healthy Clean Eating Dinner Plate Includes….

Vegetables: Half your healthy plate piled high with vegetables is a beautiful sight! Not only do they provide tons of nutrients, but are usually low in calories, so you can eat large amounts and still stay within your calorie range. Eat colorfully! Have some green, red, orange and yellow veggies spread out on your plate if you can. The more color the better! Vegetables are the #1 item on a healthy clean eating food list.

Clean Eating Meal Plan

Whole Grains and/or Legumes and Beans: 1/4 of your plate can include some kind of whole grain (brown rice or quinoa) or legumes/beans (black beans, lentils, garbanzo beans, etc).

Lean Protein: The last 1/4 of your plate should include some kind of protein. Fish, chicken and eggs are good. And if you’re a vegetarian, the beans could count towards your protein (you can then have whole grains along with the beans), or tempeh and tofu are other good protein choices.

NOTE: When possible, fill your healthy plate up with organic foodveggies, proteins, whole grains, legumes and beans.
