The Ultimate Paleo Shopping List
Need a guide to shopping for paleo-friendly foods? Here it is: The ultimate paleo shopping list.
Note that you don’t have to eat everything on this list. It’s mainly just a guideline of what you CAN EAT.
Going paleo means eating clean, unprocessed and healthy foods. You’ll want to avoid anything in a box. Sticking with the produce section and meat section of the store is the most “paleo” places to be. In fact, your local farmers market might be even better!
Start by removing any food that isn’t paleo from your cabinets, fridge, cupboards and pantry. Then fill it up with the good stuff, using this paleo shopping list as a guide. Donate them to a local food bank or give to a non-paleo friend if you can! This will make room for Paleo goods and keep you from straying away from your new lifestyle.
Use our New Paleo Meal Plan app for helpful weekly meal plans. Save you time and money. Includes a paleo grocery list, too! Download it free here.

Dairy and Eggs

Eggs: Free-range eggs are best.
Fats/Oils
Oils: Olive oil, coconut oil are both the best for cooking.
Nuts/seeds are good friendly fats too, along with nut butter – avoid any with added ingredients like sugar or salt. All natural is best. No peanuts as they are not really a “nut” but are technically a legume.
Spices and Herbs
All spices and herbs are allowed: garlic, basil, oregano, parsley, cilantro, pepper, sea salt, cumin, chili powder, paprika, turmeric, mustard seed, poppy seed, sesame seed, etc.
Avoid other aisles in the store
You’ll want to avoid the center aisles of the store filled with crackers, cookies, candy, processed cereals, etc. These are not considered paleo and not healthy food choices.
